This fall/winter is a big one for me with lots of short trips all over the US for business. I’ll be in Dallas, Albuquerque, Utah, and Florida for 2-3 days at a time. That means I’m only taking carry-on luggage and need to pack small! I found that downsizing bulky perfume bottles, large toothpaste tubes, and lotions can save a LOT of space!
I’ve become a big fan Heaven’s Alchemy perfume samples since they’re easy to travel with and come in a variety of scents: all appropriately named for chic international cities. For $35 you get a whole batch and can smell like Paris in the morning and Kyoto at night!
I cut down on my bulky tube of Rembrandt by switching to COUTO, the fabulous vintage-looking toothpaste that’s been known for quality and effectiveness since the 1930’s in it’s Portuguese birthplace. I found the medium size (60 grams) for $7.
And, you can’t leave home without a do-it-all ointment. Lubriderm’s Intense Skin Repair comes in a handy 1.75 ounce size that’s perfect for your handbag or carry-on. You can use it in a pinch for chapped lips, dry hands and elbows, diaper-rash (I travel a lot with my son), to help heal a blister from crazy heels, or a ton of other ways. It’s about $6 at just about every major drugstore!
