Travel Spotting: The Devil’s Swimming Pool

Written by Gary

We have all seen infinity pools, and I think this is just natures way of saying ” I did it first.”

Speaking as someone who has rappelled down a 100 ft water fall and barely lived to tell the tale, I can’t even imagine tumbling down 100 meters. The Zambezi River in Africa boasts an amazing natural phenomenon called  Devil’s Swimming Pool in Victoria Falls, where swimmers can swim up to the ledge and look over a 100 meter drop to the rushing waters below.

We have all seen infinity pools, and I think this is just natures way of saying ” I did it first.” I am not a particularly good swimmer, but this is 100% something I would be into for the sheer fact that it would potentially jump start my adrenaline. Not to mention, I sold my soul to the Devil long ago for a boom-box and a pair of iridescent hammer pants, so if this is his swimming pool I am pretty sure I have a VIP pass.
