Vegan Beauty for Winter 2014

Written by Bryce

Vegan beauty has been a hot trend for a while (I mean, if you’re going to be a clean vegan eater, why not go the full mile?). Here are some of our fave new vegan beauty products for Winter 2014. Your face and soul will thank you.

1. Good vegan brushes. Did you know that most high quality brushes are made with animal components? It’s seriously hard to find high quality vegan beauty brushes, and the best we’ve seen yet are by Antonym. They’re French, they’re chic, they blend makeup effortlessly, and you’ll feel good about their total lack of animal products and biproducts. Available here.

2. Every girl needs a good wand. Mascara or magic, what’s the difference? Tarte’s Lights Camera Action mascara offers rich color, lengthening, and a vegan formula you’ll love. Available here.

3. Your guilty pleasure. Every time you’ve ever been to a mall you’ve visited The Body Shop. We all do it- it’s a strange, sort of healthy addiction, like over-eating salads or something. Their vegan Camomile Cleansing Butter goes on as a rich, hydrating cleansing cream and rinses clean to leave skin bright, moisture-laden, and clear. Surprise double use? It happens to clean makeup brushes pretty well, too! Available here.

4. Seriously gorgeous vegan body cleansing. Osmia Organics makes a Rose Clay Facial Soap that’s actually perfect for delicate, dry body skin. The formula includes Australian pink clay and essential oils from geraniums and avocado to nourish particularly delicate skin. This stuff is a lifesaver for anyone with sensitivity issues, and is available here. Editor’s note: and it’s pink, who’s going to argue with that?

5. The perfect primer. Flawless skin starts with a perfect primer, and this one by Hourglass Cosmetics is lightweight, easy to apply, makes everything SO much more elegant on your face, and is 100% vegan. It conceals redness, minimizes the appearance of pores, help soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles and repel water to ensure makeup appears fresh all day long. Available here.
