FASHION FOOD AND TRAVEL

Water is the Official Food of Fashion

It’s time the fashion industry stops protecting its image and saying that its members eat solid food, and just admit that water is the official food of fashion. No one eats the halved mini muffins backstage at fashion shows, anyway.

Sorry, sweetie. Now matter how long you stare at it, those asparagus spears are still going to have 10 calories. That’s why water is your best choice.

Honor Spring 2014

Honor’s Spring 2014 show had the right idea. They gave all guests bottles of water, spreading the joy of the official food of fashion. Too bad most of the bottles shattered on the floor as guests arrived (see below).

Note the spilled water under the attendee’s seat. It’s the price fashion pays to never come in contact with any calories.

Elie Saab Evian

Evian clearly embraces the fact that its product is held in such high esteem in the fashion world. Maybe you’ve matched your outfit to one of their Issey Miyake, Paul Smith, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, Courreges, or Diane von Furstenberg special edition bottles. If you have, you’ll be excited to hear about the latest Elie Saab bottle with the designer’s signature lace pattern. Start planning a lace ensemble because Evian Elie Saab edition comes out October 7th.

Does it look like she’s consumed anything but water for the past month?

emilyc

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.

  • Love this post, I think the models are way too skinny, it isn’t really and young girls everywhere look up to women like that, which is hurting our young people today!
