What Can $2,000 Get You?

Written by Alyssa

Living in Manhattan nowadays is not so luxurious. Unless you have $5,000 to shell out monthly for rent, you’re going to take what you can get for let’s say, $2,000. Let’s take a look at what $2,000 can get you as of late in a decent neighborhood in Manhattan:

$2,000/month can get you this two bedroom palace that, according to Craig’s List, is perfect for “close friends.” If as in close you mean sitting on one another and pushing your beds together to make more room, then this is perfect for you!

However, just an 90 minutes south of NYC in beautiful Philadelphia, $2,000 can take you MUCH farther…

A 4 bedroom single family with 2 FULL bathrooms, not infested with rodents, roaches, and other creepy crawlers! I’m not knocking Manhattan by any means, but Philadelphia is looking pretty darn good right about now.
