Ingredients

  • 1 whole premade pizza dough (these are usually found in the refrigerated section of your local supermarket)
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp za'atar seasoning blend

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F
  • Unwrap your refrigerated pizza dough and coat it gently in a bit of olive oil (I like to use an olive oil mister for this so it's not too oily)
  • Divide the dough into 6 equal sections
  • On a wood cutting board or non-stick surface, begin to roll each section into a long, thin piece
  • Hold each section from the middle point, and then twirl the "legs" around to form a sort of semi-braided strand. Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Crack your egg into a bowl with a teaspoon of water and mix. Use this egg wash to coat the tops of your bread twists.
  • Sprinle generously with za'atar seasoning.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes (or until golden brown on the top).
