St. Patrick’s Day is one of those painfully trashy events equivalent to Cinco De Mayo or football games. You have to strike a delicate balance between making it less trashy and still being festive. This Caliche Rum cocktail found the balance – it’s beautiful and festive in color, but it’s no green beer.
Ingredients:
2 oz Caliche Rum
3/4 oz Melon Liqueur
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Triple Sec
3 dashes mint bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice and shake until well chilled. Serve up in a coupe glass.
