Gluten Free, Dairy Free Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Treats
These tasty, crunchy and chewy treats are a dream come true if you’re working with a gluten-free and dairy-free diet. They’re a brilliant post-meal dessert after having our dairy-free KFC chicken recipe and an so easy to make even kids can give these a try.

Ingredients
- 1 bag of Rice Krispies
- 2 bags of vegan marshmallows (these can easily be made vegetarian if you opt for vegetarian, kosher marshmallows with no gelatin)
- 1 bag of dairy-free chocolate chips
- ½ cup of Earth Balance (I use the Buttery Spread with Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
Directions
- Add Earth Balance to pot on medium flame.
- Once melted, add both bags of marshmallows.
- After most of the marshmallows are melted, add the bag of Rice Krispies slowly and mix well.
- When you are done you can take your bag of chocolate chips and add them to the pot.
- Then place the entire mixture into your 9″ x 9″ nonstick dish, or a glass baking dish lined with parchment paper.
- Or, you can take everything out of the pot, place into your dish and then sprinkle your preferred chocolate chips on the top. Both methods are delish and perfect.
- Wait a few minutes for it to cool before slicing and serving. You can also pop these in the fridge to speed up the process.
Gear you’ll need
- A 9″ by 9″ nonstick baking pan. We love these silicone wonders that allow food (especially the sticky stuff) to peel right off. They’re cheap and you can pop them in the dishwasher, too.
