Free Fun in NYC?

Written by Maura

Living in New York has so many advantages..great shopping, Broadway shows, the hottest nightlife etc. But perhaps one of the most underappreciated advantages is the museums. We have some of the most amazing collections of art in this city and maybe we take it for granted a little. So Target is helping us out by giving us extra motivation by sponsoring free museum nights! In this economy any form of entertainment that is free is going to be high if not top of our list, so take advantage of our city and its art! Here is a list of participating museums, their respective addresses and when they are free.

a born and raised Brooklyn girl who has adopted a bit of the Southern girl charm from spending the last 3 years as a college student in Mobile, Alabama. While away from home she misses the fast paced lifestyle and could kill for a real slice of pizza. She is obsessed with shoes, sushi, her Paul Mitchell straightening iron, and lusting after her David Yurman favorite ring of the week.

  • Not to mention all the free cultural events that happen in NYC during the summer. Lincoln Center Out of Doors, River to River Festival, Summer movies in Bryant Park (plus free yoga!), Summer concert series in Central park, the list goes on….

I really heart MOMA – I think its time I visit again.

Tip: If you like the Museum of Natural History in UWS go about an hour before closing (its FREE) and see the dinosaurs (the best part is seeing T-Rex bones) and then head over to Shake Shack for a frozen custard to cool off from all the running around at the museum b/c you wanted to see everything.
