Since young ravers everywhere have a lot of emotions to express, someone has gone and created a line of high-tech sweaters that display the wearer’s mood through LED light technology.
In order to get an accurate reading you also have to wear a sensor on your hand, which transmits your emotions to the sweater collar. The sensor uses the wearer’s sweat glands to ascertain certain moods, which is the same technology used in lie detector tests.
Kristin Neidlinger, founder of the Sensoree company says that the futuristic sweaters are supposed to help people be more aware of their emotions.
A few points:
I rarely want people to know exactly the way I feel. Especially in the locker room at the gym.
If your outfit changes colors, how will you accurately match it to your underwear?
Can you imagine how many people would be walking around in New York wearing glowing red sweaters?
I am all for futuristic clothing, but the last thing I want to do is look like a 20-year-old mollified tweaker running around Randall Island, having traveled from the future for Electric Zoo. If light-up clothing is your thing though, you can find the sweaters here.
