Flower beards are the latest hipster trend to hit Instagram.
Unless you have been living under a rock or in a shaved body commune, you know that beards are a thing right now. Once reserved only for for lumberjacks, lesbians, and John Travolta, beards have become much more widespread and socially acceptable. Now, guys have taken to decorating their beards, and their latest trend involves stuffing their facial hair with flowers.

I don’t know if the message is: “world peace”, “being green”, or “feeling pretty”, but I have to admit that I think it’s high time men were allowed to get a little fancy in the face. Women have cosmetics, accessories, and plastic surgery, while men only get a straight razor and a grooming comb. I applaud these gentlemen for their whimsical beards, even though I have a sneaking suspicion they are using the flowers to cover the smell of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Marlboro Reds, and thrift store furniture.
Regardless, these hipsters are making the world a more beautiful place, one beard at a time.
