Since May of 2008, when the state of California began recognizing gay marriage, over 18,000 gay and lesbian couples have flocked to Cali to tie the knot. The State Supreme Court is due to vote on Proposition 8 (which could possibly repeal the decision to recognize same-sex marriage) sometime this morning. I’m just picturing what would happen if in protest of approval all the gays left California. Forget about the 2004 film A Day Without A Mexican, imagine A Day Without A Gay in Hollywood. First of all Hollywood’s normally flawless starlets would be far less attractive, lets consider the number of gays in the hair, make-up and styling world..enough said.
Celebs have been weighing in on the big decision–both Brad Pitt and Mary J. Blige are openly against Prop 8, and Drew Barrymore and James Franco have gone as far as attending rallies and demonstrations.Â

Colin Farrell, the dreamy Irish bad-boy love of my life, just scored major points in my book (as if he needed any more) by supporting his gay big bro Eamon as he looks to marry his partner Steven Mannion later this summer. Colin will be the best man at the wedding, which if its anything like other Irish weddings I’ve been to will result in A LOT of dancing and A LOT of booze.Â

So we shall see what goes down in good ole Cali later today..maybe Eamon Farrell will be able to have a Hollywood dream wedding with his soon to be hubby!
