Alexis Wolfer Talks Winter Beauty

Written by Bryce

We love tidbits from the real beauty bean herself!

We’ve had some of the loveliest bloggers in NYC in our office the past few weeks, and you can just imagine how excited we were to have the beauty bean herself, Alexis Wolfer, waltz through our doors. Alexis is the publishing wiz behind TheBeautyBean.com and an all around gorgeous gal.

TLS: Alexis, from a beauty perspective is there anything you love about the cold weather of winter?

Alexis: NO I hate winter! That being said, I sympathize for people with frizzy hair who see their hair drop with the temps!

TLS: What is the one product you simply cannot live without when the mercury drops?

Alexis: It’s a tie between Estee Lauder’s Re-Nutriv and milkweed oil!

TLS: If you had to make 3 easy suggestions to all the women braving the cold weather, what would they be?

Alexis: Drink lots of water! Loading up on the H20 comes naturally when the temperature spikes, but with the cold winter chill and drying heat it’s essential to stay hydrated from the inside out even when the weather is cold. Exfoliate! Dull, dry skin is the #1 complaint I hear from women in the winter- and while moisturizer is essential, removing those dead skins cells is equally so. Just add some ground oats to your regular cleanser for a cheap and easy solution, or try an exfoliating scrub. Don’t skimp on the SPF! It may be tempting to save that tube of sunscreen for the next day spent in the warm summer sun, but UV rays are just as potent in the winter months and sun damage, even just during your quick walk to work, really adds up
