Barneys New York Celebrates Transgender Individuals In New Ad Campaign

Written by corey

Until this came out, I thought my favorite campaign was Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 New Hollywood Campaign. For the Spring 2014 campaign season, Barneys New York has put a focus on seventeen transgender individuals and their amazing stories. The campaign titled: Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughets, launched exclusively on Barneys’ Blog The Window.

The campaign was shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber with interviews done by contributing Vanity Fair editor Patricia Bosworth. The campaign is meant to bring attention to the difficulties trans people face with gender identity but putting in a more opening and fashion-forward light. It’s a truly touching campaign that really makes the “T” in LGBT more prominent, seeing as Barneys is a globally recognized force in luxury retail and the fashion scene. You can learn more and more about each person showcased in the campaign here.
