Calia by Carrie Underwood Officially Makes the Best Floral Leggings

Written by Bryce

CALIA by Carrie Underwood launched is bringing high fashion fitness to the people.

In my never-ending pursuit of super cute clothes that allow me to simultaneously be comfortable and active, I had the good fortune of attending the CALIA by Carrie Underwood launch in NYC a few days ago. Aside from Carrie being generally cute as a button (and a health-obsessed vegan, who knew?), she was totally hands on in designing her collection with DICK’S Sporting Goods. The entire collection is the perfect mix of fitness and lifestyle essentials that easily transition from the yoga mat to the grocery store (or let’s be honest, we all wear leggings way beyond the gym and groceries), and pull in bright pops of print and color to keep things fresh. I love, love, loved the prints because they were truly what you’d expect of high end lines, but with some magical fairy dust everything in this collection is super affordable.

The event was a perfect oasis of health and fashion in an open, airy loft on a dreary, snowy NYC day. It was hard to choose where to start— check out the super cute sports bras? Make my own floral bouquet? Hop over to the totally vegetarian snack carts?

I had the chance to meet Carrie in person and ask a couple questions about the line. “You know what I love about the collection is that even though I’m pretty pregnant, the clothes are so well constructed and have the perfect amount of give that I can still wear them and feel pretty. And those leggings, you don’t even know how good they are, I almost looked not pregnant in them.” As a mom of 3 and a frequenter of the pregnancy game, those were words I could really appreciate. I felt like she was speaking directly to my leggings-loving soul.

Although the line officially launches for sale at DICK’s Sporting Goods this coming Spring, I’m already having wild fantasies about all the places I’ll go in the floral print leggings. The leggings have a higher rise and control panels to keep everything tucked away nicely and the print looks pretty similar to the 2013 Dolce & Gabbana runway show (which I basically wanted to live inside).

This post was sponsored by DICK’s Sporting Goods but I really did attend the Calia by Carrie Underwood launch event, and my thoughts and opinions are totally my own. Also, you’ll really see me in those leggings as soon as I can get my hands on a pair.
