The short answer, is yes. Serial killers (at least the ones that are good at their jobs) generally like to blend in with mainstream society. This makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish between a serial killer and a regular, middle-aged man with a comb-over. There are however, subtle signs you can pick up on that will help you tell the difference between someone who cuts people into little pieces and stuffs them in Tupperware, and someone who just works the night-shift at an Office Depot.
If they pose in a photo with a gun, or a turtleneck, or a gun and a turtleneck.
Here are several ways you can tell whether someone is a frequent murderer, or just someone who lives in their mother’s basement and goes to internet parties.
They are pushing 50, but have photos of themselves dressed as a young Swedish boy.
They have smoldering date-raper eyes that make you feel unclean just for looking.
They were in a band in middle school. And are proud of it.
They have a fondness for things that used to belong to a living animal, such as feathers.
They both own and display one or more swords.
They have a photo with both a gun, and a child that may or not be of blood relation.
They have this haircut, or anything even remotely resembling this haircut.
