Decor Spotting: Multi-purpose Bookcases

Written by Gary

Even though nobody reads anymore, books still manage to exist. Nowadays, books can be used as more of a decorative item than a source of information or relaxation. If you are decorating a room, my suggestion is to go to a thrift store, and buy books whose spines reflect the colors you are using in your décor.

If you need a place to display these books, check out these bookcases. Something as large and sculptural as these bookcases make a great statement piece, and can even be used as a divider in a large room that calls for several separate spaces. It can also be used as clever storage for a small room with lots of knick-knacks and chotchskies.

Think of it as an investment, since in the future books will basically be antiques.
