Decor Spotting: Upcycled lighting solutions

Written by Gary

It is no secret that global warming, dinosaurs, disappearing fossil fuels, and Jennifer Aniston’s rom-coms are slowly destroying our Earth. So every time someone takes the initiative to create something out of upcycled or reclaimed products I say we pat them on the back!

Sara Turner is a self-proclaimed Eco-artist that takes old plastic bottles and products and turns them into modern lighting solutions. She collects the items from households and restaurants, then sandblasts, cuts, and molds them into interesting forms.

In this day and age we need to re-use all the resources that we can. An upcycled lamp can be used as both a decorative statement and a conversation piece. Just think: You can tell your friends that at one point on a road trip somebody probably peed into your lamp!
