Design Trust Annual Benefit 2009!

Written by Lana

Nothing to do in New York this Thursday night? Get dressed up and make your way out to the 2009 Design Trust Annual Benefit. This years theme for the benefit? “Nest: Creative Construction for any Living Creature.”

The benefit will be auctioning off one of a kind shelters designed by top designers and architects that can home any living creature. I’m talking cats, chipmunks, and even sea monkeys. (Okay- I’m not exactly sure about the whole sea monkey thing but sea monkeys do fall in the “living creature” category.)

The event will also be featuring artwork commissioned by Isacc Mizrahi and Simon Doonan ( A.K.A. Creative Director at Barneys!).

The event kicks off at 6 pm with a glamorous cocktail hour and auction preview with the Design Trust board of Directors, then from 7-9:30 is the auction with Hors d’Oeuvres on hand. Sounds like a perfect night to me!

Tickets through TheLuxurySpot.com and Online are $75.00, and all proceeds benefit the Design Trust for Public Space, a group that is focused on improving use of public space in New York City. They have your best interest in mind, so why not lend them a hand and help them out at this great event?

Can’t make the event? You can also donate online, and also be sure to add Design Trust on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter to catch any future updates and to watch for new events!
