Do These Pants Make My Ego Look Fat?

Written by Steph

Guess what, ya’ll! Kanye West, the Louis Vuitton Don, has reached that pivotal point in his career in which he believes he’s above just rapping about stuff like about car accidents and label whoring. But unlike most singers who pull the crossover move, you don’t have to worry about Kanye butchering a Michael Jackson biopic or starring in his own MTV variety show. No my friends, Kanye is breaking into the fashion industry, and in the most humble way possible– as a lowly intern at Gap.

Gap? Really? I like Gap and all but… wouldn’t Kanye feel more at home interning for Lacoste or something? Interestingly enough, Kanye worked at the Gap back in the day folding t-shirts and shit, so maybe he feels some sort of allegiance to them. I don’t know… my first job was at McDonald’s, but I wouldn’t go intern at their headquarters if I was trying to open a steakhouse. Just sayin’.

As an ex-intern, I can appreciate the sentiment of working for free as a learning experience– so long as you’re learning about something that interests you. I highly doubt anyone will be sending Kanye for coffee runs at Starbucks, and he seems to L-O-V-E fashion, so I’m hoping maybe he’ll produce something worthwhile: like an affordable, adorable boyfriend blazer that I’m having much trouble finding. Did you hear that, Mr. West? I’m throwing out some good vibes your way. Can’t be a scathing bitch all the time, it’s bad for my karma.
