So not gonna lie. When I got the invite to attend Gen Art’s 12th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion event, 90% of the reason I accepted was for the free booze. However, I was put to shame after watching the actual runway show. The show highlighted several LA up-and-coming designers who all showed real talent and a really unique spin on fashion. Speaking of spins, I think the highlight of the event was the Valerj Pobega portion of the runway show. It started out fairly normal with fairly normal music playing…then, all of the sudden, this dude come running down the catwalk and starts doing pirouettes. I shit you not. My mouth literally hit the floor and then a smile emerged. Genius, pure genius.
