The VMAs may have reiterated that I’m too old to watch/enjoy MTV, but there was a silver lining – Beyonce announced (rather subtly) that she’s with child.
Honestly, suffering through Katy Perry’s costume changes and Chris Brown’s weak attempts to align himself with Jesus was worth witnessing the glow Beyonce had going on. She dropped the baby bomb in a casual, classy manner, performed a song that was very obviously written for her boo, and got off stage.
In the audience, Kanye West was all in Jay-Z’s grill post-announcement (Taylor Swift didn’t win anything this year and he needed to get his fifteen minutes somehow), but whatevs. He seemed genuinely excited for the couple – so am I. CONGRATS B & Z!
