Knock Me Up and Call Me Fresh

Written by Aliza

Let me preface this by saying that I am not with child. However, maybe it’s my biological clock ticking away that has been making me ever more aware of all the pregnant women I encounter on a day-to-day basis. And, honestly, some of these women could use a little help in the fashion department. I’m sorry, I know having a child inside you squirming like an alien being ready to pop out at any moment is a magical, humbling experience, but when you’re wearing the same tank-top from the wet t-shirt contest that got you into this situation to begin with, it’s not cute.

Solution: Rosie Pope Maternity. Rosie Pope has designed such an expansive line of maternity clothing that she could outfit you from conception to delivery. And, you’ll look like a rockstar the entire time. From outerwear to sweaters, pants to skirts, and dresses that range from contemporary to her Couture line, you’ll never have to worry about pulling fabric or popping buttons.

In addition, if you live in  Manhattan, you can call Rosie Pope and get a complimentary limo pick-up to take you to their Soho boutique for shopping. I might get knocked up just to get the VIP treatment and ride around in a limo all day. Wrong? Maybe. Exciting and worth it? Probably.

Ok, so you’re pregnant, wearing your gorg Rosie Pope, and your water breaks. Their in-store OBGYNs will even deliver your bundle of joy for you. Ok, that’s not real. But what is true is that if you bring in your maternity clothes after you give birth, they’ll tailor them to fit your fab post-baby bod free of charge. Maternity-to-post-birth is the new day-to-night.

The boutique also sells great jewelry that I think doesn’t require you to be pregnant to wear. I’m not sure though, when it comes to pregnancy these things are all very confusing to me.

After viewing her collection, I can’t say that I’m ready to get knocked up just yet. But what I can say is that if I did have a lifelong commitment sitting in my abdomen making me sick every morning and preventing me from partaking in my daily wine-drinking rituals, I’d want to be wearing Rosie Pope the entire time.

Check her out at www.RosiePopeMaternity.com or pop into her boutique at 78 Greene Street in Manhattan.
