Lady Gaga’s newest ARTPOP song, which was originally scheduled for release at the end of this week, has now officially been released. There was a bit of drama (as expected) with the song having been leaked a few days early, and so on Monday Gaga tweeted “Due to hackers and abundance of low/high quality leaks, we issue this pop music emergency … monsters spread the word.”
For now all seems to be well and good with all surrounding Lady Gaga and her song “Applause”, as Ryan Secreast posted this playful photo when Gaga came to visit his radio show with the caption, “One of us was born this way, one of us needed to be touched up.”
Onto the song, Applause. It is basically what it sounds a like: essentially a throwback to Lovegame, as she sings about how she lives for the applause and performance high she receives when she is on stage. She sings:
I live for the applause, applause, applause
I live for the applause-plause
Live for the applause-plause
Live for the way that you cheer and scream for me
The applause, applause, applause
The rest of the album ARTPOP is set to be released on Novemeber 11.
