The new commercial for Moschino Barbie features a little boy!
Every little gay boy out there is probably seething right now, waiting patiently, just like Kylie Jenner circa 2012, for his moment in the spotlight.
The new limited edition Moschino Barbie was recently unveiled, and the commercial for it is totally ‘fierce’, as is the Barbie, according to the little boy they cast. This is the first time a boy has ever been cast in a Barbie commercial, so it says a lot of great things about where our society is headed in terms of breaking gender stereotypes.

The actual Barbie doll itself is part of a partnership between Moschino and Mattel, and basically looks like every girl you see walking around the streets of Soho in Autumn, minus the Caramel no-whip vegan-veggie, low-fat paleo macchiato with skim milk. Mattel seems to have really covered a lot of bases here, but I’m still waiting on one I can personally identify with. A skinny, southern, half-asian gay boy with goth-loving tendencies and a penchant for straight-ish construction workers. But that’s just me.
