Anyone out there a fan of the VH1 reality show Megan Wants a Millionaire? Too bad, it’s off the air. It looks like one of the contestants just might be a murderer, nevermind a millionaire.
Ryan Alexander Jenkins was a contestant on the ridiculous reality show about a group of wealthy (or so they said) bachelors vying for the the former Rock of Love contestant Megan Hauserman. Jenkins was apparently put through a battery of background checks by 51 Minds, the production company responsible for Megan Wants a Millionaire. Somehow they missed that he was sentenced to 15 months probation in Alberta, Canada for an assault charge. Violent + rich +and attention-hungry = good television! Right? Wrong.
U.S. and Canadian officials were on the hunt Friday for Jenkins, who was charged with the murder of his ex-wife, a 28-year-old former swimsuit model whose strangled body was torn apart and found Saturday in a suitcase in a trash container in Southern California.
Jenkins has since disappeared and may have gone back to Canada after police discovered the badly mutilated body of Jasmine Fiore, a former Playboy model. Jenkins and Fiore were married in Las Vegas in March after production on Megan Wants a Millionaire wrapped. Jenkins, who is reportedly worth $2.5 million, had appeared in the first three episodes of the tacky (yet entertaining) dating series, which VH1 has since pulled off the air.
According to up-to-the-minute reports, Fiore’s body was so badly mutilated that police had to identify her by the serial numbers on her breast implants. We’re sad to say that Jenkins hasn’t been caught yet, but we’ll keep updating.
Ryan Jenkins was found dead of an apparent suicide in his hotel room in Canada. He had been on the run and I guess this puts an end to the case. I’m glad this creep will not be able to harm anybody else. This also makes me think about the selection process contestants go through in order to be on a reality show. Scary?
