At first glance you may think this is a photo of a parrot that got dropped on its head at birth. If you look closer though, you can see the perfectly-painted limbs of a female model, camouflaged by 35-year-old body painter Johannes Stoetter.
Stoetter is an Italian body artist who specializes in creating incognito body-paint masterpieces. The process took about 4 weeks from start to finish, and the artist says that the paint job was so convincing even some of his closest friends couldn’t tell the difference.
Body painting is an art form that has become increasingly popular in the past few years. For instance, raise your hand if you haven’t seen a topless model serving beer wearing nothing but a painted on jersey at a tailgating party, that barely hides her teacup nipples.
Regardless of the event though, Stoetter takes this art form to the next level, and creates illusions that would even fool a drag queen with 20/20 vision.
Brava, Italy. You have finally provided us with something besides really hot, hairy men that sneak out before breakfast, and ride away on their Vespas.
