Payal Singhal’s Winter 2013 Collection

Not everything that traverses runways has to be totally unwearable. Perfect example: Payal Singhal’s Winter 2013 Collection entitled, “Char Bagh.” These clothes are definite conversation pieces, so before you peruse the collection of refreshingly wearable looks, I’ll bestow upon you some background info about Char Bagh.

Char Bagh, which means four gardens, are Persian-style garden layouts. They are quadrilateral gardens divided by walkways or flowing water into four smaller parts. Char Bagh is a metaphor for paradise, and I’m pretty sure long sleeved crop tops and high-waisted whimsically printed pants are, too.

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.
