Photographer Ron Gaella exhibits his vintage paparazzi pieces at PhotoEspana

PhotoEspana has been delivering candid vintage shots to curious eyes, teaming up with Lowes to give light to the baby years of what now has become a pop-culture standard: The Paparazzi. When asked by Charlotte Davey of Dazed Digital, why his images are so iconic, artist Ron Gaella, better known as the Godfather of Paparzzi states:

“My images are iconic because it’s all about timing, and catching the peak of an expression or gesture. Bresson called these “decisive moments”. I captured celebrities being themselves.”
