I grew up on Disney movies. As such, I have a real problem with these new 3D versions of the movies such as Brave, Frozen, and Tangled. Sidebar: I actually liked Tangled (except the haircut at the end) and haven’t seen Frozen, but Brave was a travesty. Brave was about some girl who fights bears and ends up alone. I am sorry, but I expect more from my Disney movies than that. Where was the misogyny, sexism, and ideal that any problem can be fixed by landing a man?
