Summer Beauty : 3 Favorites

Trust the doctor

Honoring TheLuxurySpot.com editors’ general infatuation with doctors, the first product I chose to feature here is Clinique Medical‘s Daily SPF 38, part of a skincare regimen developped by Clinique and Allergan specially to treat and repair skin subject to non-surgical cosmetic procedures. A Pre/Post Formula, this light, fragrance-free cream doesn’t only protect against both UVA and UVB rays- becoming an essential part of your beauty routine – it also promises to optimize the outcome of treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser.

Beauty from the inside

Functionalab‘s motto is: Beauty is the Sum of its Parts. The Beauty Tonic featured here is one of our favorites within a larger family of high-end nutricosmetics sold at Henri Bendel’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue. This concoction contains 200 ml. of Sensara, an anti-aging, restorative cosmeceutical blended with strong and powerful antioxidants including blueberry, pomegranate, acai and cranberry extracts that protect your skin from free radicals, and still taste yummy. To try it is to adopt it.

Get Skinny

I am a firm believer that the best way to get rid of cellulite is to – in no specific order: rollerblade, hydrate and have frequent orgasms. Still, every single summer, I am tempted to try one of the miracle cures that claim to transform me into a Victoria Secret model. Caudalie’s Contouring Concentrate was my pick this year: The only 100% natural anti-cellulite treatment – their website claims? I had to try it. Composed with essential oils of juniper berries, geranium, cypress rosemary, lemongrass and lemon as well as Grape-seed oil, it’s not a lotion, so apply it when you’re wet! I haven’t lost an inch yet, but my skin is indeed smoother, more supple. Priced at $35 for 2.5 oz., I think I’d rather find a man to make me scream in time for next winter!
