Ingredients
1cupmilk(we used skim, but you can use any type you like)
2 1/2tbspNutella
1tbspcocoa powder
1pinchsalt(really, just a tiny pinch!)
1cupheavy whipping cream
2tbspsugar(it's better to use powdered sugar, but table sugar works just fine as well)
1/2teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
In a small sauce pan over low-medium heat, whisk all ingredients together until well blended and hot (but not boiling)
Pour in a cup and top with homemade whipped cream and shaved chocolate
For whipped cream
Place a medium bowl and your beaters from your electric mixer in the freezer for 10 minutes (this helps the whipped cream stiffen faster and is a brilliant tip everyone should know)
Pour heavy cream, sugar and vanilla extract into a bowl and begin to beat
Whip for two to three minutes depending on the strength and speed of your beaters—when the cream forms frothy peaks, it's done. It's important not to overbeat because you want this to sort of melt in a cloud-like way.
