Zac Posen Doesn’t Like Adult Hipsters And Is Launching Sunglasses

Written by corey

Zac Posen did an AMA and he had some pretty great things to say.

You know I live for an AMA. There’s something about a celebrity (in any capacity) answering questions to the general public that really gets me going. Sure, there’s probably a PR person sitting right there and guiding him or her but it’s still fun. We did learn that Zac is launching a sunglasses line for both men and women set to be released in September. Here’s 5 things we learned from Zac Posen’s kind of perfect AMA.

First, Zac was asked about the idea of trends and which ones should go away. He does think that to ban any trend would be like “neutering culture” but that adult hipsters should definitely disappear and that wearing flip-flops in urban areas is unhygienic. He also thinks that if you’re going to show that much skin that you should join a nudist colony and wear sunscreen.

If you’ve ever wondered where Zac Posen got his start it was making costumes for the Greenwich Village Halloween parade as sort of a family tradition. If you’ve never been to the parade, I high recommend it.

Of course people took the time to ask for advice. For those thinking of starting a women’s fashion line in New York City, Posen recommends that you take your time and to make sure that someone is always wearing your creations. This is a great time start some guerrilla marketing and get the word out.

Then there’s the fun question. Like if Zac was sentenced to death, he would obviously take his death into his own hands and for his last meal he would order some deadly nightshade and wash it down with salty licorice. These designers always have a flare for the dramatics.

I do love that Posen has been media trained quite well. When asked if Nina Garcia was really that mean, he simply gave a non-answer and commended her.
