morning erections explained

If you have ever woken up to the feeling of your boyfriend’s huge boner poking you upon the precipice of your rectum, you probably thought one of two things: 1) Party time, or 2) What exactly is the story behind morning glory?

Scientifically called nocturnal penile tumescence, sleep boners occur randomly throughout the night for most men that don’t have erectile dysfunction. The erections actually start in the womb, and aren’t native to just men; women get clitoral boners in their sleep too.

The reason these hard-ons happen is that when penises are erect, the tissue is more oxygenated and maintains its health. Sleep boners also help prevent cavernous fibrosis, a condition that leads to erectile dysfunction.

It used to be thought that morning wood keeps you from wetting the bed, but as every guy knows it may be hard to pee when you have a woody, but it sure isn’t impossible.

If you don’t believe me, ask the Egyptian cotton sheets I threw out last week.

So the next time you get annoyed at your boyfriend’s morning wood for interrupting your beauty slumber, just think about what life would be like without it.

Then, congratulation your man’s junk on maintaining healthy habits.
