A Restaurant Shaped Like a Giant Camera

Written by Gary

Since cameras that use film are all but obsolete, it stands to reason that people need to find other uses for the devices. The Dreaming Camera Café in South Korea is just one more example of the crazy shit that comes out of Asia. I really need to visit that continent, because I sure talk about it a lot.

Located in Yangpyeong County, South Korea, the Dreaming Camera café is a family-run coffee shop designed like a Rolleiflex camera. The inside is decorated with vintage cameras and huge round windows, and also includes a photo exhibition that visitors can participate in.

In this day and age of digital photography, it’s nice to see that someone is commemorating traditional cameras. The only problem is that in 10 years, nobody will even know what the Hell they are looking at, but hopefully by then the Dreaming Camera café will have morphed into some other obsolete item, like a graphic calculator, or a flip-phone.
