Or for those that don’t care if their liquor is environmentally friendly: Cheers to hump day! Either way it’s free booze so enjoy!
Here’s where you can drink to our planet on Wednesday April 22.
From 5:30pm – 8:30pm Appellation Wine and Spirits will be celebrating Earth Day with a special tasting as Peter Ross from VOS will bring three French wines to the shop. Peter will pour a sustainable white Burgundy, an organic rosé from Provence, and a biodynamic red Bordeaux from the right bank. As usual, the tasting is free to all. For more info on events at Appellation click here.
Managing director Arthur Winning will be on hand to take attendees through a full regiment of custom casks from the rare and extinct distilleries of Scotland. James MacArthur was established in 1982 with the purpose of selecting whiskies from distilleries that were not very well known or had ceased production altogether and bottling them at cask strength, introducing whisky drinkers to distilleries they had never heard of! Attendees can look forward to a limited amount of savory meats and cheeses to enjoy alongside delicious drams! Featured selections include cask strength cuvees from Linkwood, Caol Ila, Glen Grant, Cragganmore, and Mortlach. Although the whiskies have not arrived yet, dram fans can pre-order their favorites the evening of the tasting! To find out what’s pouring next at Union Square Wines click here.
