Milton’s

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milton’s Organic Himalayan Salt Crackers, finely crushed
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ cup melted butter or margarine (though we love real butter here)
  • 4 whole medium, tart apples peeled and sliced
  • 6 tbsp whipped cream (or go wild and break out the vanilla ice cream!)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the crushed cracker crumbs, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter. Do your best not to eat it as-is.
  • Divide sliced apples into six ramekins.
  • Top with crumb mixture.
  • Microwave, uncovered, on high for 3-5 minutes or until apples are tender.
  • Serve warm with whipped topping or a scoop of ice cream!

Using the microwave makes this recipe incredibly fast and easy, but if you prefer a crisper topping you can pop them in the air fryer or standard oven on 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 minute to finish the top layer off with crunch.
