Relationship Spotting: Following Society’s Rules

Written by Gary

Traditionally (from what I understand) in the straight world there are certain gender rules that people are expected to follow. Men and women have a delicate balance of power that they abide by, and a successful straight relationship is supposed to be built on these principles. Times have changed however, and nowadays there are more genders than I know what to do with.

I have been hanging out a lot with a certain tranny friend of mine recently, and had to explain to my mother that my friend (we will call her Victoria) is happy being above the idea of gender. She has male genitals, but for all intents and purposes looks like a female. She is happy that way. I had to explain to my mom that gender is technically a social construct and really has nothing to do with human nature.

It was society that decided that women should have long hair and tiny waists, and men should be strong and fearless. If you really look at humans themselves though, barely anyone falls into those categories perfectly. And if they do, they are normally unhappy being what they are told they should be.  In a way, that is why I have been so happy to have been born outside of the constraints of what society says is right or wrong, because I can be anything or anyone that I want to be. So the next time you feel the pressure to conform to what society says about how you should act or dress, ask yourself WWGGD (What would gay Gary do?) and then do whatever the Hell feels right.
