This Might Be the Only G-Rated RyGos Fantasy on the Internet

Written by Karina

Everyday is like being at Disney World when I’m with you.

In the immortal words of Walt Disney’s famous character Jiminy Cricket: A dream is a wish your heart makes. And when your heart is a miner of Internet-meme gold, the dreams that it makes look like this.

Or, if you’re a French graphic artist named Pascal Witaszek, your dream is for Ryan Gosling to star in a biopic about the (other) King of Dream-Making, Mr. Walt Disney.

Can’t say that this is quite what I have in mind when I sit down to fantasize about the roles Ryan Gosling should play. Typically, those involve him as characters who spend inordinate amounts of their time with mussed-hair and grease marked T’s, and require him, somehow, to live in my neighborhood, to prepare or do hands-on research or something like that. But this looks damn magical. Like winding up a music box and opening it slowly. Or lighting firecrackers over a lake, while someone – a preferably mousy-haired man with a crooked smile – strums a ukelele in a canoe. Oops, there goes another fantasy. Magical, right?

But before we get our princess hearts a-pounding, let’s remember that this isn’t even a real movie. Well, not yet. Which isn’t so bad, considering the Goz has a full plate of films to make in 2012. And most of them call for the dark brooding stares we’ve come to simultaneously love and laugh at. Affectionately, of course. In the meantime, the Internet is probably cooking up a pot of ten tasty “Hey Girl’s” to be devoured over lunch breaks ’round the world. And if all that fails, twenty scorpion jackets says some fancy pants Hollywood producer choked on his stogie when he saw this poster and is zooming through his Rolodex to get a screenplay written, as you read this.

This isn’t the sort of thing I would usually admit to online, but I’ve got a few half-written drafts in my sock drawer that I’d be happy to send out west. Juuuust in case you’re interested, Hollywood.
