How many times have you just wanted to head over to your friend’s apartment to hang out but thought “eh, it’s 6 blocks… I can’t be bothered.” Probably too many times because you’re a lazy, overweight American. And hey, that’s ok. I’d like to thank Honda for embracing our American culture and producing this fabu little U3-X portable mobility device. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted… It’s like a more femme version of those hoverboards from back to the future.
It’s less than 22lbs, folds up in a cinch, and can run for about an hour on its battery. And heck, imagine just floating through Trader Joe’s, Bloomingdale’s, and around Union Square. How much does it cost? Who the eff knows? It’s not even really for sale yet, but as soon as it is, I’ll be gliding all over town with my kid on my lap. In bike helmets, of course. So start sending your invitations, I’ll likely show up… even if you live 6 blocks away.
ps- I can’t help but wonder if there will be laws governing drinking & riding one of these?
