Burger King Tackles Technology

Written by Corinne

Jack up the sound of your music along with your cholesterol!

It’s official – Burger King is trying to take over the world. Seriously. As if taking on brunch in the US wasn’t enough, BK has completely renovated and technologically updated it’s joint in Japan. You’re probably scratching your head and wondering, how can a fast food joint really be “technologically” updated? The new Burger King in Tokyo sure is, with their introduction of the first ‘Musical Shower’ booth. Instead of a jukebox you’ll find an iPod/iPhone dock embedded in the wall that let’s you play your own music as loud as you want. My first thought was how the hell would that work if every booth blasts their own music?! Oh, but this Tokyo BK has already devised a solution with their use of a special speaker/reflector hanging above the table. This speaker pretty much ensures that only the people sitting in the booth can hear the music being played. Gotta admit its a clever concept and the most technologically advanced fast food place yet, but I will put money on it that you are not allowed to use the booth unless you buy a Double Whopper Value Meal. I foresee Japan’s obesity levels skyrocketing.
