“Stay in college forever.” That was my sister’s advice to me, a month after she graduated to this day. So, I thought about it..what’s so great about being in school anyway? I just have to go to class, then to practice, study for exams, etc..oh right! I know, the three B’s..booze, bars, boys..life is a party when you are in college and I’ve definitely been living it up. But I stumbled upon a new advantage to being in college, a free iPod touch.
Oh yeah, not only do we get to be irresponsible and uninhibited but we also get free shit, maybe my sister is right..this is the life. From now until September 8th all higher education student will receive a free iPod touch with the purchase of any Mac computer. The discount also extends to faculty and staff of both K-12 and higher education institutions, public or private, to parents purchasing a computer for their child, or school board members or executives within the PTA. Check out the details of how to qualify here. This is a really great deal considering the iPod touch starts at $229.00. So if you are a student or can take advantage of this deal I suggest you go for it, you’ll get your new computer along with a start of the art way to rock out to your favorite tunes!
While it’s a great idea, Apple should re-think the promo-end date. Most of the college students who receive financial aid (and hey, there’s a lot of us out there who do!) will not receive their refunds until sometime in late September. Sucks to be me because I want to buy a Mac, but by the time I can afford it, their awesome promo will be over. *weep*
And yes, I already sent Apple my feedback. Maybe they’ll change the end date for me?!
