Bryce Gruber’s Thoughts of the Day (holidays & dating edition)

Written by Bryce

High fives, co-ed sleepovers, and giving thanks.

I’m still sort of recouping from some mild stomach bug, but being true to my usual form, it’s been a splendid day.

1) Great People Deserve High Fives. I saw this at dinner tonight and couldn’t agree more. Well said, Burger Shoppe on Water Street!

2) If You Sleep Over Does it Count As Two Dates? So let’s say for example that you’re on a 6th date with someone and decide that it’s officially okay to go back to their place.  And let’s say for argument’s sake that their place is somewhere like 25 minutes away from where you live (it’s a trek).  So you eat dinner with them at night, go home with them, wake up the next morning and eat breakfast with them.  Is that one date all-inclusive? Or is it two separate dates entirely… distinguished by different days and meals?

3) I’m Feeling Thankful. Sure, it’s Thanksgiving, but I feel extraordinarily blessed to have a healthy kid, friends with beautiful hearts, a roof over my head, and great food on my table (and in my snack drawer). I don’t think it would hurt people to live everyday like Thanksgiving.

  • Still the same date since you were never apart. If you go home to shower & change and then meet up again – 2 dates.

A happy & blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family.
