Bryce Gruber’s Thoughts of the Day (weekend edition)

Written by Bryce

More of her wild, rambling thoughts…

Today was an unusual day… I went to look at real estate with some friends and had some pretty wild experiences along the way.  Wild experiences always lead me to unruly thoughts.

1) Tempeh Bacon is Really Good. After checking out some real estate in NYC’s tony Tribeca neighborhood my friends decided that we should pop into a local kiddie cafe with my son.  The cafe, Moomah, had a pretty healthy menu that included their version of a BLT- only with tempeh bacon.  For those of you that haven’t tried tempeh, it’s a vegetarian substance that’s hard to describe, but in bacon form it’s damn delicious.  It should be stated that I’m hardly a bacon authority, seeing as I keep mildly kosher.

2) Men Love Creepy-Ass Role Playing. They sure do.  I was discussing one of my favorite hotels in Boston with a man I have an upcoming date with. I mentioned that although I’ve only been there alone, it would be a romantic spot to go with someone because it’s built in an old prison (only much more chic these days). He responded via text, “great for role playing :-)”   …Jeez. I meant romantic like dim lighting and good champagne.  I’ll keep that in mind though next time I feel like being strapped to a bed. After all, Boston is only a $10 Chinatown bus away. (It should be noted that this man seems generally normal other than this statement.)

3) Velvet is Life-Changing. It just is. It feels so good and I want to roll around in it all day long. This dress rocks my world:
