Seriously, this is shinfo. This is as shinfo-esque as it gets.
If you’ve got the time & energy to pick up loads of dog crap all over the Taiwanese city of Taichung, the local government will pay you a heaping NT$100 a day. Seriously a crappy job considering the conversion rate is about $3 US.
Taiwanese people started keeping dogs as domesticated pets in the 1980’s when the economy started to boom… but apparently the fine art of the pooper scooper evaded this culture, because the country is full of dog crap. Everywhere. In the streets, parks, school yards, etc., thanks to as many as 180,000 stray canines.
So, if you think traveling to Taiwan will render you a nauseous mess because it will smell like NYC’s Chinatown, you’re wrong. You’ll be nauseous because the country smells like your dog just ate a whole chocolate bar.
