Reduce. Reuse. Re-Lilly.

Written by Maura

Lynne, a good friend of mine and modern hippie with a heart of gold has been hounding me to “go green” for months now. Apparently my wasteful lifestyle is ruining the planet..who knew? Well she’ll be real proud because I found a way to go green in my own style. In the spirit of America Recycles Week  (November 8-15), Lilly Pulitzer has got a special collection for all the environmentally conscious prepsters out there like me. Lilly Pulitzer is known for bright, patterned, and deliciously preppy collections that very easily transition from year to year. The “Originals” collection embodies exactly what Lilly Pulitzer is all about with the backing of an eco-friendly concept. Not only is this collection being presented as an opportunity to pass along your gently used Lilly to others but the in garment labels and hang tags are made of all 100% recycled materials, and the dye used in the garment is certified low impact, elimating harmful by products and keeping the earth safe! Also, if you have any old gently used special occasion dresses you can donate them to some wonderful deserving young girls at any participating Lilly Pulitzer store or send them to [Lilly Pulitzer for The Princess Project 800 Third Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406]. All donations will be sent to The Princess Project, so be assured that you’re efforts are truly helping someone. Not only are you helping out others but this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of that back corner of your closet filled with old prom and bridesmaids dresses and take you one more step away from Katherine Heigl in 27 Dresses. Now, don’t think that Lilly would let your good deed go unrewarded..for every dress donated you will receive a $10 credit toward your next “Originals” purchase.
