Filmmaker and artist Quentin Jones teamed up with Miley Cyrus to create an awesomely artsy soft-core kink video called ‘Tongue Tied’ .
I remember a year or so ago when Miley Cyrus was fresh off a lesbian bleached-out buzz cut hair transformation. Her tongue was all anyone was talking about, her new album was all anyone was listening to, and America was straight up shocked about her Hannah-Montana-meets-herpes image makeover.
Then Beyonce came along and dropped an entire album on her poor little bobble-head and wig-snatched that spotlight away.
Since then, everything Miley Cyrus has done has felt a little contrived, blasé, and one-note.
To me, this video is kind of refreshing. It represents the first thing I have seen that Miley has done since then to take back her fair share of the pop culture pie.

A collaboration with Quentin Jones, the video is edgy, surreal, sexy without being raunchy, and downright entertaining. I love the song, I love the visuals, I love that it’s Miley, and also that it falls in line with her new public persona, but still feels different.
