It seems like it downpours every Wednesday. I hate to be repetitive, but I’m pretty committed to listening to rainy day music when it’s raining out. This week’s featured playlist, created by 8Tracks user Dobong and is slightly sexier than last week’s rainy day mix. Here are a few highlights.
When the Devil’s Loose by A.A. Bondy – Something about the rain makes you especially introspective. I guess we literally and metaphorically don’t want to go outside. This is a great song to listen to when you’re alone with your thoughts.
Scythian Empires by Andrew Bird – The equivalent of wearing a warm pair of socks. This song has a Spring vibe to it, which makes it great for rainy days.
Sea Song by Lisa Hannigan – This song is delicate and a little twee, but in the kind of way that makes you forget it’s raining outside. Two thumbs up.
French Navy by Camera Obscura – Everyone needs a song like this on a rainy day to help them get their ass in gear and get their productivity on.
Volcano by Damien Rice – This song is perfect for a rainy afternoon nap – or a rainy afternoon romp. Whatever.
