It’s almost the weekend, my darlings!
1) I’m Passing on the Torch. Today I gave away my favorite pair of maternity jeans. I know you’re probably thinking, “Bryce, your kid is almost 2 years old… you haven’t worn those jeans in ages.” Well, you’re right, but somehow I held onto some of the better, pricier maternity wear with the hopes that I’d somehow have a reason to use it again in the not incredibly distant future. I’ve been giving it away piece by piece for the past year or so, knowing somewhere in my heart that I just don’t need it, and that some other dear friend could probably really use it. So, dear Melody, I pass the pregnancy torch onto you and hope you wear my J Brands in good health. They’re slimming, functional, and will prepare you for motherhood better than almost any other denim out there.
2) I Drink 8 Cups of Tea Each Day. Yesterday I actually calculated the ounces of tea I drink per day, and it came out to about 60. I’m pretty sure that’s great news for my heart and other organs, but I assume I’m going to need regular teeth bleaching by 30.
3) Ilili Restaurant Made My Night. The people at Ilili in NYC have no idea that they had a table full of editors in their restaurant last night, or that we were all checking in via Foursquare. They treated us like gold (as regular patrons), made my friend Danielle’s birthday super fantastic, and provided us with fig glazed brussel sprouts that made us all want to cry from joy.
4) I Want to Hug More. Last night I had a thought: I hug and mwah, mwah a lot of people pretty often… but how often are those hugs REAL embraces? I don’t want to mwah, mwah people and give casual hugs. I want to really embrace the people I love and care about more often with intense hugs.
